We have identified a likely giant planet companion that is being accreted by its host white dwarf star. This object would be only the 5th planet-mass object identified to date to orbit a white dwarf star. With SpeX we seek to characterize putative infrared excess emission that could indicate accretion from a low density gaseous disk and to search for new emission lines, particularly from C or CO which would enable a measurement of the C/O ratio in the giant planet atmosphere.
