# # Program information file # PROGRAM_ID 2024A061 PROGRAM_TITLE Tracing the Origin of Water in the Solar System through Collisional Low-albedo and Low-inclination Asteroid Families in the Inner Main Belt PROGRAM_INV1 Driss Takir PROGRAM_INV2 Joe Masiero PROGRAM_INV3 PROGRAM_INV4 PROGRAM_INV5 PROGRAM_SCICAT main-belt / Trojan asteroids PROGRAM_ABSTRACT_BEG We propose to observe the parent bodies of these families, asteroids 302 Clarissa, 163 Erigone, and 752 Sulamitis, to investigate their spectral connection to Bennu. We will search for hydrated minerals at 3-um band in these objects using the LXD mode and search for other possible non-hydrated minerals [e.g., iron-rich amorphous silicates] using the prism mode.
