There is an existing hypothesis that the lower portion of the lunar crust, that is exposed in the central peaks of large craters, may be hydrated: this project will test the hypothesis. Previous observations of the Moon with SpEX have demonstrated the feasibility of determining water contents using 3 micron observations of the Moon. PROGRAM_ABSTRACT_END
