Notes on testing GPS in hilo and configuring unit for the summit

1. MISC info
GPS Mac addresses are:
eth0 00:0e:fe:01:16:d8
eth1 00:0e:fe:01:16:d9
Default users/passwords
“ntpuser” with password “Praecis”
“root” with password “endrun_1”
2. Hilo Testing/configuration
Attached antenna and power to unit.
Attached eth0 to network, see DHCP server assigned 128.171.110.248 to unit.
SSH to unit: ssh 128.171.110.248 -l ntpuser
Become su: su root
used /sbin/netconfig to configure network for eth0:
IP: 128.171.110.191
Netmask: 255.255.255.128
Gateway: 128.171.110.129
hosthame: tdtest
nameserver: no
IPV6: unconfigure
Static IP is now set.
Setup unit in lab with antenna outside, able to lock on and sync time
Set IRTF passwords (standard device pw): k----- for ntpuser, root (see see irtfadm pw.html)
ssh tdtest -l ntpuser
su root
passwd root
passwd ntpuser
Testing the 1PPS
> cupio

Current Setting = 1 Milliseconds Pulse Width
Used systemioconfig to set 20ms pulse width
> systemioconfig

Current Setting = 100 Milliseconds Pulse Width
2. Summit configuration
connect to Serial Port
used RealTerm on window PC (19200 baud, 8 data, 1 stop, No Parity, no handshaking).
works!
netconfig vis ssh to configure network for the summmit:
IP: 128.171.165.26
Netmask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 128.171.165.62
hosthame: irtfgps1
nameserver: yes 128.171.2.5 128.171.3.13
IPV6: unconfigure
eth1: DHCP
2017/10/26 - Daycrew installed unit at summit. Synce to satelite and locked time.
Note: nameserver IP is not listed in /etc/resolv.conf
