2011-06-22 - Installation of CentOS 5.6 on jumppc to be used to collect 
accelerometer data.
Used tony's old linux PC for jumppc.

1. Install CentOS 5.6

/dev/sda1  19G  /
/dev/sda2  19G  /r2
/dev/sda3  36G  /aux

/dev/sdb1 160G  /aux1

Using: 128.171.110.157   jumppc
Full installation, no SElinux, no firewall.

   - fix:
     /etc/hosts
     /etc/resolv.conf
     /etc/ntp.conf
     /etc/auto.master
     /etc/yp.conf
     /etc/fstab

     # system-config-service :  enable ntpd

    - setup droot, mroot, froot

   /boot/grub/menu.lst tweeks:
      remove 'rhgb quiet' remove the graphical option.
      use /dev/sda1, not labels

    # reboot

2. Install mvware on /aux/vmware
Needed XP for embedded CPU development tool.
Installed vmware
Copied sammy_winXP/ from denault to /aux/vmware/winXP
 - them remove many window apps to make virtual machine lean (jumppc is a lower end PC).
 - vnc server config:  16000 & irtfirtf.

3. Dual ethernet setup & dhcpd

2nd ethernet device as installed on the PC. Set up eth1 as 192.168.0.1
and put ArmWeb device on separate network.

   + install PCI card.
   + system-config-network - setup as 192.168.0.1
   + copied sgir dhcpd.conf and modified for jumppc.
