Notes on WTI NPS-8HS20-1 

Spex uses a NPS-8HS20-1 Network power switch to control power to the callamp.
Here are the note on setting up the unit.
The manual are in the vendor's directory on this web site.

The WTI's hostname for spex is call spex-lamp-wti

Network Setup

The unit comes with a RJ-45 to DB9F convert (PN DX9F-DTE-RJ). Initial configuration 
can be done using this cable and a PC w/ serial port.

Connect the unit to your PC's serial port. Setup for serial port:
   9600, 8, 1, NoParity, CTS (Hadware handshake).

Used littledog & minicom in 2013 (for original unit).
Used Windows labtop+USB_Serial+teraterm in 2025. (to setup a spare WTI).

login as 'super', 'super'

/N for network configuration:
   IP 192.168.1.17    for spex-lamp-wti 
   Gateway: leave undefined so no access beyond subnet.
	Telnet access: on
	Web access:    on

Configuration Part 2
Connect using a web brower and finish the configuration:

General Parameters -> System Parameter: Site-ID: spex-lamp-wti

General Parameters -> Real Time Clock:  setup timezone, NTP to duke, goblin   [NTP is optional]

User Configuration -> Add User: spex pahoa  allow ssh, telnet, web.
                      make sure user has permisiion to plugs access.

/OFF *, Y   - turns off all plug. Adding ", Y" 
/ON  1, Y   - turns on 1.
/ON 1+2, Y  - turns on 1 and 2

/X          - disconnects
