Printing the serial port communications document

Be reminded that laser printing is one-sided only at the IRTF, and printing out your own copy will result in a thick pile of paper as well as distress for the Spotted Owls in the Pacific Northwest.

At IRTF:

  1. Change directory to ~harwood/document/
  2. Print the main document from the PostScript file: lp comlnk.ps
    or, lp -d irsummitpr comlnk.ps

Note that it may be possible to print directly on the IRTF Manoa office printer from the summit. The office printer, irofficepr, prints 2-sided as default. After printing, call Karan or Lorrie to send the hardcopy over to you.

At IfA headquarters:

  1. Log into jeans. Change directory to /pc.shared/document/.
  2. Print the main document on the office printer from the PostScript file, which does duplex:
    lp -d irofficepr -o duplex comlnk.ps
