CSHELL's spectral resolving power has been restored to about R=40,000
matched to the 0.5 arcsec-wide slit. This was done by moving the
spectrograph array to refocus the spectrum. The most likely cause
of the internal focus change is a change in flatness of the aluminum
grating due to a decade of occasional thermal cycling. CSHELL was
warmed up and fixed during fall 2001.
