Cshell Guider Operations

Or, How do I use the cshell guider

1. To Guide.

1. Do a GO in SingleShot to see an image.
Adjust itime to good signal levels.

2. "Find Peak" make the guider automatically set the Boxsize, BoxX, and BoxY values.

If Find Peak fails, you could try entering the Upper-Left XY of the guide box, and
box size youself (DV can help you figure out the numbers).

3. "Start Guide" to begin guiding

4. The Green screen to death on the cybex means the CCD acquistion
part of GIC crashed ( the Acq status stays BUSY ). To recover, type "die" in
the GIC, quit the XUI. Then restart the IC and XUI.

5. "Calibrate" button is used to start the routine to determine the Rotation and
Pixscale. This routine could failure on bad data... And is normally not required.

CShell is normally setup sith EW slit which matches the default Rotation of 0,
	 and PixScale of 0.14.

In the NS slit setup, the Roatation is 90 (note: need to conform sign + or -?).
The PixScale remains the same, 0.14.

2. Saving Guider CCD images via DV.

   In XUI:
CamMode is SingleShot (This should be the default).
click ON "View IC Data". (This should be the default).
click GO. (image should show up in DV).

   In DV:
After the image is taken, press "Save" to bring up the save dialog box.
Make sure the directory says "/scrs1/guider".
      Click on "Ok" to save.

Note that DV generates the filename when the guider sends the image to DV.
The format of the filename is YYMMDD-HHMMSS.fts.
